Gensler SEATTLE Office RENOVATION
The Gensler Seattle Office, located at 1200 6th Avenue Suite 500 since 2008, expanded over the years due to growth. In 2017, facing increased headcount and meeting space pressure, they chose to stay on the 5th floor of Park Place and opted for a surgical approach to renovation - salvaging architectural elements, finishes and furniture items whenever possible. The design concept focuses on a Workshop, a space for experimentation, collaboration, and culture-shaping, while also considering resilience, sustainability, and hybrid work. The renovated space includes areas for collaboration and well-being, encouraging staff to view the office as a destination. The design reflects a studio atmosphere and is the first Gensler office to achieve a three-star Fitwel rating.
